Begin at Depot Plaza, follow 15th Street and Capitol Avenue through brick commercial blocks, notice the painted Big Boots and bronze work, then reach Capitol Square and the Wyoming State Museum. The distance is short enough to notice how quickly Cheyenne shifts from railroad town to state capital.
